Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and all the best to you in 2006!!!

Well, we had a fun holiday season. I sang at midnight mass on Christmas eve and, as I had expected, after successfully getting Monica to sleep...I snuck away around 9:45pm and by 11:15pm she was up, and remained up, until Grammy and I got back from church. Oh well, maybe next year I'll just bring her with me.

Christmas Day was spent at Grammy and Bumpa's house. We were up before the crack of dawn...even though we didn't actually get to sleep until 2:00am. Monica allowed Grammy and Bumpa an extra hour of sleep, before invading their room and announcing that it was time to get up and start opening gifts. Well, she didn't actually make any annoucements, but I'm sure that was her intent.

Monica got a lot of loot. Most of it I opened for her, as sitting still long enough to rip open the wrapping paper would take away from so many other things she had to do. It's funny how she will happily destroy anything else, but she would not rip open a Christmas gift!

Boxing Day, we finally got the opportunity to celebrate Christmas and Grammy's birthday (which was on Christmas eve) with Auntie Angela, Uncle Todd and the boys. Monica had a great time with her cousins and received what are probably her favorite gifts of all. Auntie Angela, Uncle Todd and the boys gave her two rubber balls. Monica LOVES balls!

Other than that, we have enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Andy was back in town, so we enjoyed a couple of visits with him. He actually brought in the new year with us (At 8:00pm! Maybe it was closer to 9:00pm.). Monica provided the entertainment for the evening, whilst I displayed my talents in Barbie motor home repair.

We also enjoyed a couple of visits with Megan who was home from England (Monica received her 2nd most favorite gift from her... "London" the bear...from London, of course!). She flew back yesterday and is now safely back in the U.K. We can't wait to see you again, Megan! Oh yea, and you too, Andy!

So, that's about it from us. I can't believe it is the year 2006. As Andy reminded me last night...we're almost 30!!! Yikes! No, no, no...we'll always be 29 and holding...that actually sounds even worse. Oh Andy...what are we gonna do? Hush everyone out there approaching another milestone greater than 30...this is a big deal!

Well, here's to a wonderful and blessed New Year!

Yes, you both look cute in the Christmas picture. I think we have all recovered from the celebrations and it sure was fun having you both stay with us over the Christmas season.

Nice Christmas pictures! I think I now know why your blog gets more attention than mine. Yours has pictures of girls and babies! Perhaps I have to change my stratagy of funny stories and instead put up pictures of girls and babies! Food for thought methinks...

Hmm... This is true. Best not let the pictures of me get out there. The firestorm of popularity I'd recieve might be too overwhelming :)

It WAS a wonderful beginning to a New Year's. I went to Moose Jaw with the lovely Monica, and Denise(not that Denise is not lovely...so uh, I'll change this a bit...so SCRATCH what I just said...)...I went to Moose Jaw with the lovely Culham women...there, is that better? uh, anyways we got to sing Rainy Days and Mondays, Superstar, Top of the World, I Need To Be In Love, We've Only Just Begun, Close To You, Sing, Hurting Each Other, Yesterday Once More...until THIS MASQUERADE came on, and then Monica kinda woke up, so I had to kind of whisper-sing it...right when we got into the cathedral area...and that was also (SURPRISINGLY) a song Denise did not know the lyrics too...but I will have you know, Denise sang every Carpenters song PERFECTLY, knew all the background parts, the Ooohs and Ahhhhs, and Wahhhs...I was quite impressed. So I guess I can safely assume Denise is a BIG Karen Carpenter fan too...Join the club Denise...I hearby state that Denise Culham, of Regina, Sk be entered into the Carpenters Appreication Society headed by Cameron Longo(me)...Oh Denise, remember when you stubbed your leg with Monica's stroller...and we had to carry it up and down the stairs. Monica seemed to enjoy that. So did I...teee heee...

    Ciao,
    Cammeo

I'll have you know that wacking my knee with Monica's stroller did NOT tickle and I was NOT laughing...however, we did really, really, muchly, muchly appreciate the..err...ummm...lovely(?)...Cameron's attendance on this trip. It was nice having someone to carry my books!

In closing, I deny any, and all, allegations that I not only am familiar with songs by the Carpenters, but that I know them word for word, background parts included. This is a completely unfalse accusation...ummm...yea...
