Though I'm doubting that anyone checks this blog anymore. Since joining up on Facebook.com, I've been enjoying posting on there. It takes less time and effort.

We are doing well. Starting to get ready for Christmas. I still haven't begun any shopping and I really have no good gift ideas, but I'll get around to it. I'm planning on taking the week of Christmas off, again, this year. I might also add in the first week of January. We have appointments during that week. So, rather than starting back for one day, then off for one and then off, again, I thought I may as well extend the break. I really, really, really need a break.

We enjoyed a couple days away at the farm this weekend. Monica enjoyed visiting with Heidi, the dog. Graeme was settled and had no problems adjusting to different sleeping quarters. It's always nice to get away.

And, it appears that winter is here to stay. I'm glad I don't have any driving to do today.

Oh yea...AND....way to go RIDERS!!!

Ok...so first I'll apologize to anyone who still check this blog. It's been a long time since I updated with anything worthwhile, but here I am.

I've recently been introduced to Facebook.com, so I seem to do most of my posting of anything new and exciting on there. However, not everyone is a member, so for those of you who aren't...here is an update!

Graeme Luke was born on Thursday, June 14th at 8:45am, via a scheduled c-section. He weighed 3.04kg...which I believe was 6lbs 11oz. Everything went without a hitch...other than the doctor being half an hour late because one of her children lost their shoe. I vomited throughout the whole surgery...apparently morphine does not agree with me...which slowed the process a little bit, but once the meds wore off, I was fine (an hour later!!). Most importantly, Graeme was healthy and did not need to stay in NICU like big sister Monica did.

Since then, Graeme has been a good baby. Content for the most part and happy. He loves his swing...Monica hated it...and he naps well throughout the day. He still wakes for feedings during the night, but he is going 5 hours between feeds now (usually) which I consider a good thing. Hopefully, in the weeks to come he will stretch that even more, but I'm happy with getting 5 hours of sleep at a time.

Well, I'm not going to make any promises for frequent updates. I just don't have the time. We are moving into our new home in the Cathedral area on September 1st and I will begin providing home childcare, again, on the 10th. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it, but I'll find a routine that works...eventually!

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer and you should all join Facebook. It's a great way to find and stay in touch with friends and/or family that you otherwise would not. It's amazing who you can find!

Well, I think it's safe to say that Celebration Folk Group walked away from our much anticipated performance, yesterday, feeling disappointed and possibly a bit embarrassed.

After weeks/months of practice, we all made the icy drive up to Saskatoon on Saturday. I know I was extremely excited to be given this opportunity and, on a personal note, to have one of my own original compositions showcased province wide.

I'm going to make this short (HA!!), as I'm still feeling quite sick this morning.

So, we're on stage. Kelly made a presentation...meaning that the sound technician had the opportunity to correct any problems with his microphone. None of the rest of us got this opportunity, nor did any of the instruments get the benefit of a sound level check.

Jason began the song with his guitar strumming. He hit the tempo right on...Dale (our drummer) could not hear Jason clearly, so came in a touch faster, causing the song to just take off...sort of in the wrong direction, but we could work with it. At this point, I could only hear guitar and drums. I could not hear Lisa's keyboard and could faintly hear Rick's bass.

Lynette, Kelly and I came in....or did we? Hmmmm...sounds like Kelly is doing a solo! Lynette and I had no level, whatsoever. So, the song went with, pretty much, only Jason's guitar and Kelly's voice. The rest of us could have stayed home!

Now, don't get me wrong, Jason is an awesome guitarist and Kelly has an equally as great voice, but it's the group that makes the song what it is. We have harmonies, echoes, incredible bass playing and piano that fills in melodically. Even the drums could barely be heard by the audience present and at home.

Ok, so we know that TeleMiracle is a fundraiser, but many performers travel a fair distance to showcase a talent and we all put the effort in to make sure that talent is at a level that we, and the rest of the cast, can be proud of. The least that TeleMiracle could do is make sure they have sound technicians who know how to do their jobs. Instead of ones that leave the performers feeling foolish and thinking, "why did we come?" For the cause, yes, but, man, there was a lot of time and effort put into that 4 minute performance. We were informed later that at the onset of our performance, there was only one person at the sound controls. By the middle, there were 3 of them fighting over who was doing what wrong.

For myself, I kicked myself for not being able to sleep the night before. I was afraid I wouldn't wake up in time. So, I sat up all night watching TeleMiracle. Anyone who has been 5 months pregnant, with consistently severe morning sickness, knows this will come back to get you the next day. I was SICK the rest of Sunday. Right after breakfast up until 9:00PM last night! Proof that I am telling the truth when I say I need to get to bed early and get a solid 10 hours sleep to help fight off the inevitable daily sickness. No amount of medication was helping, yesterday.

So, all in all, I'm proud that we took the initiative to be a part of TeleMiracle 31. I only wish that our effort, hard work and talent could have been properly portrayed during our performance. For anyone who has not heard us perform, we are really good...darn good! We have performed at many other events, some in less ideal conditions, and have had a better experience than this.

Oh well, it was an experience and we know what to do and what not to do if we should ever do this again. Which I do hope we will. Despite the outcome, it was a group endeavour that we worked very hard on and supported each other through, when it went wrong.

Well, today was not as warm as yesterday. So, luckily, we made the most of our "lazy" day and got out to play in the snow.

Monica built (with help from Mom and Dad) her first snowman. When asked what his name was she answered..."Snowman"...duh! He was complete with arms, hat, scarf, eyes (M&M's), nose (carrot, of course), mouth (strawberry jube jubes) and buttons (M&M's).

Once the initial enjoyment and novelty wore off, Monica proceeded to eat Mr. Snowman. I guess the worst is yet to come for him when the weather warms up he melts away to nothing.

Today was business as usual. Again, Monica did not sleep through the night. Yes, we are still struggling with this! So, we were both very tired...resulting in a very crabby Monica and a very frustrated Mommy. Anybody want to rent a 2 year old? I really hope she begins to sleep through the night for me soon. I would like a bit of a break before I have no choice but to be up for hours on end.

Ok...no one expect another post anytime too, too soon. I cannot promise anything before the big TeleMiracle gig! Hopefully, I'll have pictures to share of that.

19 weeks to go!

So, as you can see, I went for my 20 week ultrasound last week. I have been for 2 other ultrasounds, prior to this one, but some of the images from those sessions are so small. I wasn't sure if they would be good for viewing on here.

Now, anyone who has some good ideas for boy names, let me have 'em! I find girl names much easier and much more interesting. There are so many beautiful girl names to choose from...boy names...not so much. In my opinion. I have a few in mind, but haven't found any to get really, really excited about. In otherwords....HELP!

Monica attended this ultrasound. She was quite concerned about Mommy lying down on a bed, in a dim lit room, with many machines surrounding her. She did begin to get the idea and saw the moving images on the computer screen. So, I think she's beginning to understand. She kisses my belly numerous times a day, but I think it's just because it sticks out and is easy access for her. Come June/July, she is in for a shock!

We're looking forward to our trip up to Saskatoon on March 3 for the March 4 appearance on TeleMiracle. The group rehearsed last night and I think we sound pretty good. It will be interesting the morning of the performance. Between nerves, tiredness and, I'm sure, a bit of confusion it will be interesting to see if we can remember the words to the song! I think we'll do great...as long as we don't think too hard about what we're doing.

I guess that's all for now. I'm enjoying a quieter Tuesday today. I only have one child this morning and none this afternoon, so we'll have to try to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather. I hope it is here to stay!

Here's a worthwhile update. Pictures and everything!

I'm not sure what to report. Not much new is going on. Christmas is over, but Monica is still singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". To which I tell her that he won't be coming until next Christmas. And, this we know for certain. He has to come back and pick up his hat!

Monica is starting to use the potty. I'm not heavy into the potty training, yet. I'm just letting it be her idea, right now. Anyone who knows Monica knows that this is the best approach for everything. If it isn't her idea she is certainly not going to do it. Usually, each evening after supper she asks to use the toilet and continues to do so every half an hour leading up to bedtime. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't. I think she just likes to sing our song.."When you gotta go, gotta go, gotta go-o you know how to pee and poo. Sit on the toilet like a grown up would and see what we can do-do-do-do..." The daycare is back in full swing. One little guy still hasn't started, but everyone else is back. I'm going to be adding a couple days a month with 2 of the boys. Their mom's work schedule has changed, but they really are no trouble and the extra bit of income will help in saving money, so I can take time off when the new baby comes.

In early March, we (Celebration Folk Group) will be attending and performing at TeleMiracle, in Saskatoon. I'm quite excited about it, but I won't be surprised if we get the prized slot at 2AM! I'm mainly just kidding about that. If I remember correctly, the actual TeleMiracle cast members provide the majority of the "through the night" entertainment. However, if anyone is going to get the priviledge to join them, it will be us! Once we find out when we will be playing, I'll let everyone know. So, check back for details!

I think I'm going to end it here. Today is Levi's 7th Birthday party. So, we have a busy day ahead and Monica can't wait!

For anyone trying to comment that can't...I'm trying out something new. I've been getting a lot of odd, anonymous comments. So, I think I may have beaten any record, previously set, for time lapsing between postings. Sorry, to all my loyal fans...who, by the way, speak to me on a regualr basis. Meaning, you have nothing to complain about because you know everything already!

*I will (crossing fingers) be posting pictures and writing a more indepth update, but this will do for now.

If anyone has been reading through comments, you may already know, if you haven't already heard from us, that Baby #2 is on the way. I'm due on June 30th, 2007. Which just happens to be Jane and Andy's wedding day. Sorry, guys! We really wanted to be there. Especially when I heard I would be given the opportunity to share stories about Andy at the reception. Fortunately, there are ways to do this without actually being there. Still, I'm glad you guys think it is pretty cool to share the same date.

Other than that, not much else is new. I've closed the daycare until January 3, 2007. So, I am enjoying a much needed break. Next break probably won't be until I walk through the doors of the hospital, several months from now. Well, hopefully, I'll get a break in there somewhere, it's just really hard to take time off when it's your own business, you have more than just your family to schedule around and when you have an obligation to numerous others.

Megan!!!! Sorry we missed visiting with you the other night. Monica is feeling better and we are both catching up on our sleep. She slept in until 9:30AM this morning. I have not slept past 7AM or 8AM since 2004! It felt good. Anyway, safe journey back to England and we'll see you next time.

Yup, October 9th is the big day. I can't believe how fast the past 2 years have gone. I'm sure I'll be saying this repeatedly on the occasion of every birthday. Still, it's amazing how much she has grown and the number things she has accomplished in her short life.

As pictured above, Monica has been enjoying her first birthday presents. She will get a few more over the next 2 days. She especially has enjoyed all the baking that I've been doing in her honour. I made a simple, 2 layer, white cake on Thursday for birthday party number 1. I just completed the BIG cake. The Blue's Clues cake really puts the first cake to shame. However, Monica may have had her fill of cakes. She is not throwing a temper tantrum over not being able to eat this latest cake.

Other than that, my home daycare is doing great. I'm really enjoying all of the children and they seem to love coming here. I am, of course, extremely tired by the end of the week, but I still look forward to seeing the children, again. Monica is not sure whether she should be happy or sad when they come and go. She is certainly having difficulty adjusting to sharing her mom and her things. All in all, though, she is enjoying the company of other children, but I could do with a few less temper tantrums! Did I mention she's 2?

Well, that's about all for now. I'll just ask again, for anyone who did not receive my prayer request email, that everyone keep my cousin in Scotland, Brian, in their prayers. He is in the hospital recovering from a terrible car accident. From the news we are receiving, he is still in a coma and has gone through surgery. Now, the doctors are waiting to see when and how he will come out of the coma. Please pray that he makes it ok.

Another new post...when???

Well, I can't say for sure when I will have time to return to this blog. I have many pictures to share, but just lack the time right now. So, here is a quick post.

We had a great time in Edmonton with Gammy, Bumpa, Auntie Angela, Johnny, Levi and Isaac. Monica picked up many new stuffed toys and a Halloween costume for this year. She will be Mickey Mouse. She is on a Mickey Mouse kick, so I thought..."What the hay?!" Thanks to Cameron for his help at the Disney Store. I also got her a great shirt, which Auntie Angela pointed out. It says..."Trouble is my business and business is good!" That says it all.

So, why have I been absent from my blog? Well, as you all know, I have been working on setting up a home daycare. This has taken up a lot of my time and energy. Not to mention, being a full time mom has its demands. Still, I am pleased to announce that I have all of my spots filled!!! I have one 3 year old girl, a 2 year old boy, and two one year old boys.

Sound like enough? Well, the one girl is only here in the mornings and 2 of the boys are only 3 days a week. So, it will all balance itself out. It's nice the way they are all starting. Yesterday, was the little girl's first day. At the end of October, the next 2 will start and then at the end of November the last (but not the least. He's actually Monica's favorite of the bunch! She talks about him at least once a day!) boy starts. It will be nice to have the time to get to know each of the children, instead of having them all starting at once. It will be a lot easier on me and on them.

Other than that, we are gearing up for the big 2nd birthday for Monica! I can't believe she is 2 already. She is becoming quite the talker. She is not only saying words, but can form sentences quite clearly. My favorite line is..."I'll show you."...used whenever she thinks you are too dumb to know what she just said. Most times, we know exactly what she just said, only thing is, it is something she is either not allowed to do or has done about a million times and should give it a break!

Monica and I had our first game of hide-and-go-seek, this week. She started all on her own. I was making the bed and she came into the room leaned into the wall, covered her eyes and started counting to 10. Oh yea...she can count to 10! I find that amazing. She also knows quite a few of her letters. One day, she was playing with her magnetic numbers and letters and came to get me, to show me what she had done. She had the letter "O" and the number "1" together in the shape of a "P". She pointed to it and said..."P!". Now, that's crazy brilliant, if you ask me!

Well, I'm going to turn in early. I like to get as much done around the house in the morning, before anyone arrives, so that I can focus on the children without running around tackling other things at the same time. I still do have other things to do, but I try to keep them to a minimum.

What a great summer so far! I can't believe how beautiful and hot the weather has been for so long. I don't remember another summer like this since, geez, I was probably still in grade school...and we all know that was a LONG time ago.

It's funny, I was just talking to someone the other day about how I used to think that 30 was "sooo old..." Not so old anymore...even 60 is looking young! I know, I've got a long ways ahead of me.

Anyway, we have been making the most of this wonderful summer. The yard is pretty well complete with all the necessary outdoor activities. Of course, now I won't get any children for childcare until the winter, so accumulating indoor activities is next on the agenda. I'll get around to that in the fall, I'm thinking.

We built the new swingset last weekend. The weekend before, Monica and I were out for a bike ride and I spotted a "Little Tikes" playhouse at a garage sale. It is in PERFECT condition...not even sun faded! I got it for $65...not bad for a house that is well over $100 brand new. Add in a new sandbox, a ball pit (another garage sale item) and, you can't forget, the elephant pool...we have a pretty rockin' backyard!

Last week, Monica and I made a trip down to Swift Current to visit great (great) Aunt Cora. We had coffee and pumpkin pie at her apartment, and enjoyed a nice visit. Monica was a little on the bored side, but you can't expect too much excitement visitng a 94 (is that the right age, Mom?) year old's home. There were toys, but Monica didn't quite know what to do with "Tinker Toys".

We stayed at the Super8 Motel, so we had a chance to visit the pool a couple times.

On Friday, (great) Aunt Marilyn came in from the farm to visit. She took Monica and I to the Swift Current Library. Of course, the visit was short lived, due to Monica's behaviour. Another minute longer and I think we would have been thrown out and banned! From there, we met great (great) Uncle Oliver (Aunt Cora's brother) at the park for a picnic.

Monica and I had a great time and enjoyed visiting with family that we don't see nearly often enough. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to make it out to the farm for a little visit, before too long.

Our trip to Edmonton is fast approaching. We will be up there August 20-26. So, Andy and Cameron, if you're free, we would love a chance to visit with you.

Well, that's about it for now. Monica has been playing outside and is now watching Blue's Clues and having a snack. I'm sure we'll be heading outside, again, once her show is over. She loves being outdoors!

So, not much going on. I just thought that picture was worth a post!

It has been summer for about 3 weeks straight, now. Anyone else wondering when it is going to end? Best enjoy it when we can...and enjoy it, we are!

I got Monica her first backyard pool ($9!!)on the weekend and she has spent the last 2 days in it. I will get a picture of it. It is very cool. It is a big, purple elephant. You hook the hose up inside it's trunk and it shoots out a fountain of water into the pool. I didn't have a pool that cool when I was growing up. In fact, ours collapsed and leaked all the water out, if you leaned up against the side! I think we're going to have to invite 3 special cousins over to test out the pool.

Well, that's about all I've got. I'm still looking for some children for my home childcare. I have gotten a few calls, but either our schedules don't mesh, we're not in the right part of the north west or they tell me they are going to come over to meet us and, then, they don't show. It is somewhat frustrating, but I'm sure the right people will come along. I do have fliers to put up places, which I hope to get around to doing tomorrow.

I've been working on getting the house ready to go for the children. I've got a bunch of games, puzzles, art supplies, toys and a day plan made up. I also have information sheets, health sheets and an activity book, full of colouring pages and crafts, prepared. Of course, I can only do so much prior to starting childcare, as funds are limited until I can get some extra income coming in.

This weekend, we are moving the sheds around in the yard to make room for a swing set, slide and hopefully a water/sand activity table. I've been doing some window shopping and I think I can afford these extra things for the yard. Having outdoor activities is very important, especially in the summer. So, hopefully, by the next time we have some interested people come over, the house (and Monica and I, of course!) will appeal to the children and their parents.

Ok, I think my beef stroganoff is done, so I better get going.

L-o-o-ove that ice cream!

So, it's summer and it's actually hot! Which means...ice cream and lots of it! Monica has been enjoying ice cream cones and all the mess that comes with them. That is, until she realizes that she's sticky...she hates being sticky.

Well, we have been making the most of the hot weather. We have made two trips out to Regina Beach. Both times, we have experienced good weather. Now, if it wasn't for those darn deer flies. Those things are nasty and they swarm!

We took in the Canada Day festivities this weekend. Char and Devon were in town. I haven't seen Char since before Monica was born so it was nice to get the chance to catch up.

We headed down to the park on Saturday afternoon and checked out the entertainment. There wasn't all that much that we were interested in so we got some "mini donuts" and walked around the lake...sorry, Devon! After our long, for some, walk...we headed home for a scrumptious BBQ.

Next it was back to the park for more "mini donuts" and fireworks. Now, Monica was none too enthused about this second jaunt to the park. She could not figure out why she was out so late, strapped in her stroller, sitting and staring into the night sky.

Then it happened. The first firework fills up the sky which caused Monica's jaw to drop...followed by her using every word she knows to express her excitement, enjoyment and gratitude..."pretty"..."nice"..."gosh!"..."weeee!". She even blew kisses to the sky. It was another first that I felt so lucky to experience and couldn't help but feel extremely proud to be her mom.

We then walked back to the car...which took longer than it should have since none of us thought to make note of what street we were parked on. Figures!

Then on Sunday, we got to visit with....SANDI!!!!! I know, it surprised me too. It was great to see her again. If anyone is ever out by Humboldt check out the best coffee shop on earth. "Prairie Perk" is the name and Sandi is the owner. Now, you know its gotta be good!

So, that was that. Again, thanks Char and Devon (I hope I'm spelling that right) for coming to visit us. We had soooo much fun! We have to do that again real soon! And, Sandi...thanks for the visit and I can't wait to visit your shop!

Well, here we all are again! Thanks for checking in with us. Also, thanks for all the comments. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see my comment count reach 10 and higher! Ok, even 2 gives me chills.

So, it appears that summer has arrived. Well, for this week, anyway. We have been enjoying getting out for our walks, bike rides and visits to the playgrounds. We made a trip out to the Rick Hansen Optimist Park this weekend, and I had no clue exactly how good of a little waterpark they have. Monica got soaked...drenched...she was sopping wet. We had to strip her down and take her home in only a diaper. Luckily, it was a hot day and once the wet clothes were off, she warmed up quickly. We do have pictures, so they will make an appearance on here, soon.

On Sunday, Monica tried out the sprinkler in the backyard. She wasn't too keen on it at first, but then she got the hang of it and thoroughly enjoyed herself. This time she was wearing a bathing suit, so she didn't have the wet and sticky clothes to contend with.

Today, we hung out with John, Levi and Isaac. We went for a long, hot walk to 7-Eleven for slurpees, ice cream and a creamsicle. Then we went for an even longer, hotter walk to Bumpa's office. Then we walked back to Auntie Angela's house and hung out in the backyard. Again, Monica ended up soaked after jumping into their little pool. This time, I was smart. I brought a change of clothes!

Tomorrow, we are heading out to the beach with Auntie Angela and the boys. Hopefully, we can break our pattern of choosing supposedly beautiful days to go...only to get there and be greeted with clouds, cool winds and rain!

I think on Thursday, we will make a trip back to the Rick Hansen waterpark area with the boys. It's supposed to be 34C. Maybe I'll even get in on the fun!

I am continuing to expand my business ventures. My referral business is going well (I received another pay cheque today!), but like all businesses it does take time to build. So, I have decided to try out some home childcare, as well. I put out a few ads last night and have gotten a couple responses already. I'm really only thinking along the lines of 2-3 children around the age of 2-5 years. I figure this should be good for Monica, as she really doesn't have many children around her age to play with. Plus, it will be some extra cash for me and will, undoubtedly, give me an actual reason to dye my hair! So, if you know anyone who is looking for some home childcare...give 'em my name!

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Monica is fast asleep...I assume. I'm scared to check! She has been doing very well the past few days with going to bed with "Bear" and falling asleep with only him beside her. She has even been doing this for nap times! This is a huge success for her and a huge relief for me. It is incredible the amount of energy and effort that has gone into my getting Monica to sleep and to stay asleep, since she was born.

Anyway, I have some laundry to fold and I want to catch the news. I have no idea what is going on in my city let alone the country or the world...maybe I'm better off not knowing!

I have got to get my camera back!

Ok, so we all know about my camera woes. If you are among the chosen few who don't...visit the archives and read any of my entries from 2005!

So, I've taken a liking to the camera on my cell phone. It's handy, takes decent quality pictures (good enough for what I use them for) and I always have it on me. Well, I've never claimed to be brilliant...I'm intelligent (well, I know stuff), but I don't always catch on at top speed. With this in mind, I finally, after a few months of using this camera phone, discovered I could email the pictures to myself and post them on my blog! Yay...pictures of Princess Monica finally make their way back on to the internet....

Well, I get this month's friendly SasktelMobility bill and...here it comes...it is 3 times the size of any other bill I have ever received!!! OK, all you smarty-pants out there. I know I'm just giving you all reason to sit and shake your heads, but I had no idea I was being charged for each individual picture I sent to myself!

This all being true, I will not be posting so many pictures until I can retrieve the camera I was originally not using because it never worked. Ok, that made sense to me, and that's all that matters!

Therefore picture, if you will, this past weekend. My __ birthday! A trip to Moose Jaw and the Western Development Museum. I took a few very good pictures of Monica sitting in a 50c jallopy (old car) in the foyer of the museum. She was laughing and squealing. Perfect camera op! Next, I took a great picture of her in an early 1900's truck/car deal. Again, very cute.

Next followed a visit to the Mineral Spa. No pictures transpired, but we had so much fun. We went in the pool and Monica loved being able to swim outside in the rain, in her bathing suit and splash around in the biggest "puddle" ever!

On Sunday, we spent the afternoon at Gammy and Bumpa's. Monica enjoyed playing with her cousins and I enjoyed celebrating my birthday over donuts and tea. Yum! In the evening, I think we must have "crashed", as I cannot seem to recall anything else from this point on....

And, so , what are we up to next? Well, I am singing at a wedding with Lynette and Lisa on Saturday. Then, in a couple of weeks, it is off to Cabri, Sk. for the Culham Reunion! I'm still looking "way" forward to our trip to Edmonton, but that is still a ways off.

Well, I just thought I would share my disbelief, shock and horror at SasktelMobility and their hidden charges. I'm sure it isn't hidden...I just chose not to look for it, but still!

Let this be a warning to you all...if something is too good and too easy...it probably is!

So, really not a whole heck of a lot new to report. As pictured above, I just got back from the hair salon. This is probably about the height of the excitement around here, today.

Monica is sleeping, it's raining outside, so here I am....

Well, I'm getting ready for a busy summer ahead. Myself and two of the other ladies I sing with, will begin practicing this week for a wedding on June 17th. I'm looking foward to it, but sometimes it just seems like one more task to add to my never ending list!

Next weekend, I've agreed to head back up music for the Live-in Christ weekend. This, too, I'm looking forward to, but, again, it is one more thing to add onto the list. It will be interesting scheduling Monica's days around the live-in schedule, but I don't think it will be too bad. It will be nice to get out there and lead some music, again. Although, I've enjoyed not having the responsibilty over the past few years, it will be nice to give it a whirl.

Other than that, we have a family reunion coming up, little trips here and there, work, regular daily life (which is hectic in itself!) and, can't wait for this, another trip out to Edmonton in August!!!! This will be the highlight of the summer for Monica and I. We had such a great time last year...this year will be even better as Todd, Angela, John, Levi and Isaac will be joining in on the fun! I can't wait....

And with that, I'm going to make the most of what is left of Monica's nap and have a lie down on the couch. Monica decided to not sleep between the hours of 1:00AM and 5:00AM, this morning, so I am very tired! Actually, she has been making a habit of this night time ritual for the past week...I can only hope that this latest phase will pass quickly!

So, if I was the devoted blogger that I claim to be...ok I don't claim myself to be any such thing...I would have posted a "Happy Mother's Day", on the day, but...well, who has got the time?

I had a fabulous Mother's Day. We started out with brunch at the Hotel Saskatchewan...thanks Bumpa...then, I was treated to an afternoon bike ride out to the Rick Hansen Optimist Playground for some fun and a picnic. It was a very relaxing day and the weather was brilliant!

Of course, I couldn't walk away from work. I multi-tasked throughout the day, booking appointments and sending emails to my newest business partners. That's one big drawback with working from home. It is near impossible to just shut the computer off and walk away! I am constantly checking my email and corresponding with business partners or prospective business partners. Ah well...at least I'm enjoying it!

This week we have been enjoying a heat wave! I got my first sunburn of the year, yesterday. So begins my summer of tanning via sunburns. I know, I know....wear sunscreen!!!! Monica does and I do, when I take the time to put it on. I did today, so there!

This weekend is the long weekend. We have Isaac's 1st birthday party to attend on Saturday and then I sing at church in the evening. Sunday is a free day, which will soon be filled up before it begins. Monday, we are looking forward to meeting Jane!!!! I hear Andy will be there too, but I'm not too sure...teehee...

Other than that, not much new to report.

Well, I hope everyone out there is happy! I know I am. It feels good to get some pictures up here.

We hope everyone had a happy and blessed Easter (a while ago). We did. We even got to celebrate Bumpa's birthday, too! So, now we (well, at least I) have had our fill of treats. Monica got a lot of Easter candy and, of course, being the good mother I am...I ate most of it. I didn't want Monica to over do it. That being said...I ended up not feeling so good.

Last week, Bumpa and Gammy joined Monica and I on a trip up to Saskatoon. I had a Business Launch to attend there. We had a great time and enjoyed Sunday brunch with Rick, Paulette, Brayden and Paulette's mom.

Isaac's 1st birthday is coming up this month, so I plan to have some new pictures from that to share with all of you. Ok, so don't hold your breath!

So, not much else new to report. We're looking forward to a visit from Andy and, the real reason we're excited, Jane. Sorry, Andy...I'm just being honest! Will a photo appear on here to commemorate the visit? Well...probably not, but you never know!
